About SunCrafter
The idea behind SunCrafter originated when our technology’s inventors were contracted to run quality controls on industrial solar farms. Triggered by the realization that every year millions of functioning solar panels go to waste, we thought about a solution to provide a second life to these modules: The EasyPanel technology.
Today, SunCrafter offers a range of products upcycling solar modules and works on giving second life to other components such as batteries. Our products are easy and safe to use, functioning as stand-alone plug and play systems. We provide a cutting-edge solution for the global challenge to provide clean and affordable energy immediately and wherever needed. This ranges from energy-poor, remote areas to dense urban environments lacking adequate charging infrastructure for mobility services.
The Three Values We Ground Our Work On
Efficiency
Simply put: We use fewer resources to achieve more. Relying on the sun as a ubiquitous and efficient source of energy, our products are both easy to use and state of the art. We upcycle and give a second life to decommissioned modules and other components. That way, we minimize our products' footprint and use as little resources as possible. To that end, we rely on our partners and their unique insights to achieve the best possible result in any given context.
Inclusivity
Speaking of inclusivity, we mean the opposite of exclusivity. In the spirit of the 2030 Agenda we aim to leave no one behind. We develop affordable solutions with and for our clients, even if they are hard to reach. As we see it, cutting-edge technology means to offer the best solution to a challenge – wherever and for whomever this may be. We believe that our technology should not be reserved to only a few, but we strive to ensure energy access for all. The sun is an ideal partner in this regard: it shines around the world and on everyone.
Sustainability
Our products harvest clean energy: solar power is sustainable, since its source of energy is not depleted through its usage. In addition, by putting upcycling at the heart of our business, we are maximizing solar energy's sustainability in our own production. Our products increase the lifetime of existing modules, and other components. Through this we minimize resource depletion, energy usage and CO2 emissions. Our company identifies as part of a movement of businesses aligning themselves with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our work directly relates to SDG 7: „Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all.“ However, we do not see SDG 7 as an end in itself, but as an enabler for many of the SDGs. For example, upcycled off-grid solar energy has the potential to empower communities around the world to offer education, health services, and sustainable means of production.
